It was a beautiful view and overall a good experience.

We didn't make it to any resort restaurants, but there are a number of 4+ rated restaurants nearby. Just because a restaurant is in a tiny rural strip center, if it's well-crafted on Google or Yelp, try it. We discovered a fantastic diner, a surprising Italian spot, and some of the best Chinese food we've ever had.

* Zip line (900 ft in 15 sec, about 50 ft up)

We liked the suite layout better than any of the Hilton Grand Vacations resorts where we've stayed. Lots of open floor space, and doorways are w-i-d-e. Adding a few grab rails is probably all that's needed to convert our suite to fully wheelchair accessible. Furniture at Hilton is upscale from Massanutten, but that issue isn't tops with us. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding, before and during our stay. Always a smile and a pleasant word here. Again, Hilton Grand Vacations Club is our standard for comparison.

* Couples massage

* Couples reflexology

On a scale of 1-10 I would say a 9.

I recommend staying here and there is also a ski resort but I came during the summer.

* Murder mystery dinner theater (we did this together). Our first such, and it was a blast. Crab legs and prime rib were GREAT! Desert just so-so. Actors were great fun as they moved among the tables to answer questions. (This part did drag a bit, though.) We hope it's a different play next visit. We WILL do it again.

I stayed here for a week and the hotel room was clean and nice. They also have a waterpark and a lot more on-site attractions.

* Aromatherapy 1 & 2

* Cell phone photography

Definitely take in Skyline Drive in nearby Shenandoah National Park. (Fuel up before you go.)

6 room suite in Woodstone Meadows for a week (big as our house). We had planned to bring another couple, but that fell through. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT week even STILL! (G&S, you must come along next time.)

I sustained a serious back injury earlier this year, and I was a bit worried if there would be any zero impact activities for me, considering the active lifestyle that Massanutten caters to. No need to worry. I had DOZENS to choose from. I was not prepared. Next visit (April?), I'll plan ahead. DO LOTS I would have enjoyed...

My wife checked off two bucket list items...

Massanutten, we're already talking about spending one week every year here. Next time, more handholding on our huge private deck. Can we get a card table?
